Overall Impression
Hallelujah! Netherlands-based Vandestreek Brewery has made a simply next-level IPA that rivals the best of any alcoholic beer on the market. It is more of an ESB style, so a little lighter on the overall bitterness, with a beautiful balance of hops, malt, and barley. The mouthfeel of this beer is rich and almost milky upfront. Floral notes move across the palate. There's a generous hit of the perfect bitterness making an appearance at the end. It is truly an adult beverage meant for sipping and enjoying.
It’s no surprise that this lovely creation won gold for the NA IPA category in the 2018 Brussels beer challenge. If I were giving a number, it would be a 10 out of 10. We picked this up at a local Whole Foods Market in British Columbia, but it looks like, for a pretty penny, you can order it on Amazon to your home.
